The picturesque city of Warsaw hosted the fifth transnational meeting of the e-Teach Project. The meeting was attended by participants from all partners institutions including Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Baltic Education Technology Institute, University of Social Sciences, Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu and University of Helsinki. The University of Social Sciences (SAN) provided a warm welcome, setting the stage for two days of intense collaboration, discussion and planning.
Partners engaged in in-depth discussions and strategic planning for the forthcoming Training Certificate Program. This initiative, consisting of Joint Online Workshops, aims to empower educators with the skills and knowledge necessary for effective digital pedagogy. Partners shared updates on registrations, with a goal of reaching a virtual audience of 180 participants eager to enhance their digital pedagogy skills. These sessions are set to take place on October 17, 24, 31, and November 7, 2023, during the late afternoon and evening hours to accommodate participants across different regions 5-7 PM (CET) 6-8 PM (EET).
The e-Teach Teacher Guide, a foundational resource for the project, was a focal point of the meeting. Partners discussed its current state, emphasizing the collective effort that has shaped its development. The conversation touched upon the final changes and refinements, ensuring the guide's content remains relevant and comprehensive. Suggestions for enhancements were defined, with a focus on interactivity and user engagement.
Moreover, partners reflected and discussed the last refinements of the OER on Canvas, another pivotal element of the e-Teach project. The session centered on structure of the content, ensuring coherency among modules, and bolstering interactivity through various multimedia resources and activities. Final touches and updates were discussed to ensure the OER serves as a comprehensive, dynamic, and up-to-date repository for digital pedagogy resources.
The partners deepened the strategic planning and implementation of the project's Multiplier Events, with the aim of disseminating the project results beyond the consortium to a wider audience. To this end, each partner will host individual events in their respective countries between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024. These events will feature a diverse participation: 40 local participants, 2 foreign participants and a virtual component hosting 10 remote participants.
The meeting also hosted a presentation of the International Conference of ALTA 'Advanced Technologies and Applications for Learning. Improving learning opportunities through digital pedagogy'. Notably, the e-Teach project will be spotlighted in its own dedicated parallel session. Moroever, partners are cordially invited to showcase their insights and research through presentations centered on their scholarly papers.
The meeting also touched upon various management topics, including financial matters, dissemination strategies, and quality assurance measures to ensure the project’s success.
As the E-teach project continues to evolve and expand its offerings, it remains dedicated to its mission of enhancing digital pedagogy for educators across Europe and beyond. Stay tuned for further updates as this transformative initiative progresses.
