Nico De Witte

Nico De Witte is a doctor of educational sciences and a social gerontologist. As one of the two founders of the elderly needs surveys, he has been exploring the needs and requirements of elderly people living at home in Belgium and several other European countries since 2002. His research topics include vulnerability, quality of life, loneliness and the impact and added value of digital applications for older people in their daily lives and in healthcare. He is a lecturer at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and a researcher at HOGENT.
