On the afternoon of 21 January 2026, Prof. dr. Jan Danckaert, Rector of Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), attended the closing session of the PhDGov in-person training held at VUB in Brussels.
The PhDGov in-person training was officially launched on 19 January 2026 at Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Brussels, hosted by the EU–China Higher Education Research Center (ECHE). The training brings together representatives from Palestinian higher education institutions and European partner universities for three days of exchange and capacity-building activities.
During the session, Prof. dr. Jan Danckaert delivered closing remarks and awarded certificates of completion to the participants, marking the successful conclusion of the PhDGov in-person training phase.
The event concluded with the concrete planning for the study visits and group photos, highlighting the institutional engagement of VUB and celebrating the completion of the training activities.
