Yujie xue
Biography
Dr. Yujie Xue is a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in Belgium. She studied at China Agricultural University, Tongji University, and Tampere University in Finland, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Management and a Master’s degree in Education. Her research interests include university governance, higher education management, academic leadership, and the role of AI in higher education.
She plays a key role in coordinating the activities of the EU–China Higher Education Research Center (ECHE) and the LEAD Academic Network, contributing to international capacity-building programmes, online course development, and academic training within the PhDGov project. She has been actively involved in research and teaching collaborations with partner institutions across Europe, China, and Africa, supporting evidence-informed governance practices and digital transformation in higher education.
Dr. Xue has published on topics such as university governance in China and Europe, faculty leadership, digitalisation in higher education, and AI-related privacy concerns. She also co-develops online learning modules and facilitates academic workshops in diverse international settings.
